Circle the Big O! - Ride around Lake Okeechobee with stops along the way.

Circle the Big O (Lake Okeechobee) with biologist Gary Ritter who is the Assistant Director of Government and Community Affairs with the Florida Farm Bureau. Mr. Ritter represents agriculture in the south Florida region on any issues relating to water and natural resources—which includes Lake Okeechobee. He has led numerous educational trips around Lake

Okeechobee and we consider him to be an expert on Lake O and its surrounding areas. Lake Okeechobee, also known as Florida’s Inland Sea, is the largest freshwater lake in the state of Florida and the eighth largest natural freshwater lake contained entirely within the contiguous 48 states. We will be stopping for lunch at Roland and Mary Martin’s famous Marina & Resort in Clewiston.

Through the Eyes of  Beanie Backus

Start your day visiting the newly renovated and expanded A. E, Backus Museum & Gallery in Ft. Pierce—located on the Indian River Lagoon. Beanie Backus had a
passion for painting landscapes and one of those landscapes was the beautiful Indian River Lagoon. Receive a guided tour at the Backus Museum/Gallery and learn about what /who inspired Backus and his rich history in St. Lucie County. Following lunch (on
your own), you will take a beautiful relaxing boat cruise on the Indian River Lagoon. Two bus pickup sites.

one of the many eateries located in the waterfront area — i.e., Tiki Bar, Cobb’s

Sunday Brunch & Mimosas at The Historic Seminole Inn in Indiantown

Join Day Trippin’ with Patti & Vicky for Sunday Brunch at the historic Seminole Inn in Indiantown. Group will depart Vero Beach/Ft. Pierce at 10:00 AM and arrive in time for the 12 Noon seating. Brunch buffet consists of traditional breakfast items (eggs prepared many ways, sausage, bacon, potatoes, grits, etc. , as well as, traditional Sunday luncheon dishes—i.e., Seminole Inn’s famous fried chicken and roast beef. There is not a bar at the Seminole Inn, but Patti and Vicky have been given permission to serve their own Mimosas! The Seminole Inn is rich with history and charm. Please join us!

We're live with the chimps in Fort Pierce

Visit and tour the Save the Chimps Sanctuary located in western Ft. Pierce.  We will  Tour the Chimps’ Campus by trolley and we will meet one of the veterinarians who  has the privilege of working with these amazing chimps.  Following our morning at  the  Sanctuary, we will enjoy lunch at the Tin Roof Bar & Grille in Ft. Pierce.  Vicky and I tried the food and it is good (and they have a full bar)!   You will have four great selections.   wo bus pickup sites.
